Definition (Delphi 6):

function UpperCase(const S: string): string;

Definition (Delphi 2010):

function UpperCase(const S: string): string; overload;
function UpperCase(const S: string; LocaleOptions: TLocaleOptions): string; overload; inline;

This function will convert all the characters in the range a..z in the given string to their uppercase equivalent.

Technical CommentsEdit

Be aware no 8-bit international characters will be converted to uppercase. It's recommended to use AnsiUpperCase for this.

ShowMessage(UpperCase('make me uppercase')); // The result will be 'MAKE ME UPPERCASE'

ShowMessage(UpperCase('mákè mè úppèrçásè')); // The result will be 'MáKè Mè úPPèRçáSè'
