The Windows Taskbar behaves like a normal window, so you can use the SW_ parameters on the ShowWindow function. You only need the Taskbar handle and you find it with FindWindow function

procedure TForm1.Button1Click((Sender: TObject);
  ShowWindow(FindWindow('Shell_TrayWnd', nil), SW_HIDE);

Changing SW_HIDE to SW_SHOW will invert the process:

procedure TForm1.SetEditsColor(NewColor: TColor);
  ShowWindow(FindWindow('Shell_TrayWnd', nil), SW_SHOW);
