From Delphi
[edit] Guidelines for editing pages in the Delphi wiki
- Start by reading the 2 Minute Guide to Wikis.
- Most importantly: Don't overdo it and burn yourself out. Make only a few changes/additions a day.
- Please keep it accurate and relevant to Delphi.
- Do not be afraid to add something because you don't know how to format it. Just add the text and someone else will be happy to reformat it to make it look "pretty".
- Please fix broken links or at least report them on the associated discussion page.
- Please use the discussion page to discuss the associated wiki page, not for asking questions about how to use Delphi. Questions about how to use Delphi should be posted in the forums.
- Use simple English. Many people who read the articles will not be native English speakers.
- Since Delphi is an American product it would be best to use American English spelling, but this is not a requirement for writing articles in this wiki.
[edit] Deleting Pages
- Deleting pages must only be done by agreement. The following is the guideline for this process:
- To propose that a page get deleted, add {{Propose Delete}} (including the braces) to the top of the page. This will put it in the "Category:Deletion Proposals" category making it easy for others to vote on.
- Use the discussion page (of the page you want to delete) to explain why the page should be deleted and to allow others to vote.
- After a period of a few days, if there are more than two "delete" votes than "keep" votes, then go ahead and delete the page.
